Robert Rubinstein Robert Rubinstein, began playing reggae in the early 1980’s as a drummer with Crucially Dread. He then joined the internationally-renowned Congos (Congo Ashanti Roy, Bunny Brissett and Delroy Williams) for several U.S. tours in the mid-1980's as a percussionist. As a founding member of Ras Prophet, Robert has primarily been a guitarist, although over the years he has also played bass, keyboards and drums at various times. Recently, Robert has added vocalist duties to his repertoire. Robert is married (Barb) and has a daughter (Gabrielle) who is an aspiring dancer and musician.
Eric “E” Caplan, is Ras Prophet’s original drummer, joining up with Robert Rubinstein in January, 1990. A master of the “one drop” Eric provides a steady mixture of acoustic and electronic beats to anchor the Ras Prophet sound. He is married (Marci) and has a son (Ian) and a daughter (Carly). Chuckie Jones Bassist and vocalist Chuckie Jones joined Ras Prophet in 1997 after stints with reggae bands Norris Reid & the Cool Rulers and the Flow. A professional musician since the age of 15, Chuckie has taken up the keyboard in recent years to aid his music production in his home studio. Chuckie also plays bass for the First Emmanuel Church. His daughter (Simone) is a recent graduate of Duquesne University.
George Mitchell II (aka “Delly Ranks”) grew up playing bass with his church band. He joined CFI Massive as their bass player in the mid-1990’s. During this period, he also performed bass duties on several tours with international recording artists Born Jamericans. George became a member of Ras Prophet in 1999, assuming lead vocal and keyboard duties. A dynamic performer, George still plays for the Free Holiness Church on Sundays. Shawn Behanna - "Shabba" Shawn Behanna ("Shabba") majored in music at West Virginia University. He joined Ras Prophet in 1991 as the band's first saxophone player, and added keyboards and vocals to the Feel The Fire CD. Shabba moved to Columbus in 1996, playing countess live shows and numerous recording sessions. Shawn has played regularly with several bands, including Deighton Charlemagne, Ark Band, The Decals and Fabulous Johnson Brothers, prior to returning home to Washington, PA in 2006. In addition to saxophone, Shawn handles keyboard and backing vocal duties."
